About This Holset HE300VG Rebuild Kit (2018 and Earlier) The Holset HE300VG is the variable geometry turbocharger used in the Cummins ISB 6.7L diesel engine found in Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks from 2007.5 through 2018. It is one of the most common VGT platforms in the light-duty diesel market. While built to last, years of heat cycling, extended oil change intervals, and the mechanical demands of the VGT actuator system will eventually wear the internal bearings and seals — particularly the thrust bearing, which is the most loaded component in this application. Important: This kit is designed for the 2018-and-earlier HE300VG. The 2019 redesign uses different internal dimensions and requires the separate 2019 and Up kit.
