You literally pour the milk into the unbreakable metal bowl, add the starter, put the bowl on the incubator, and plug it in. 12 hrs later your yogurt is ready! No timers, no fussy settings, and best of all, no glass breakable bowl to replace!For people who eat a lot of yogurt or have large families, the Joy-Mech makes a maximum of 3 cups of yogurt at a time, so it’s probably not going to work for large families. But for 1-2 people who eat yogurt 3-5 times a week, it’s perfection!I was worried that because I was using organic soy milk, I might need a strainer (which is an optional purchase) for the thick quality I love; instead, the soy yogurt came out thick and creamy enough on its own! That has never been the case with past yogurt makers I’ve owned.Hands down, this one has it all. I give it my highest recommendation.
