Dayton Audio SD270A-88 10″ DVC Subwoofer

As others have confirmed, the Dayton sd270a-88 is a solid sub. It’s cheap but it’s not at all garbage. It’s a bare bones, no frills subwoofer that does a fine job. I bought 2 for home theater (10×14 room) and wired them series/parallel to 8 ohm final, to an amp that feeds them each 100 watts. I put them in sealed shallow enclosures, .90 cubic feet volume, which is a bit smaller than recommended and they still sound great, and get down into the bottom range really nice like a sub should. They are rated at 26hz but I tested them down to 22hz and with impact you’d expect only from higher-priced subs. I listen at relatively low to somewhat loud volume, so I don’t know what level db they can top out at but judging by how little cone movement I’ve seen from them, they can handle much more volume if I wanted.If you’re concerned about price, don’t be. Go for it. As long as you’re not expecting to be heard from blocks away or shake your house from it’s foundation, you’ll be satisfied with this sub, or as in my case, 2 of them.
