I usually hate to read reviews that start with “for the price, this is good . . . “, because that usually means that standards are lower because the price is too.Not in this case. In this case, I will begin by saying that despite the low price, this medicine cabinet exceeds my expectations. This is for a half bath in a second home, so we went in not intending to break the bank but looking for something nice but basic.Here are the pros:- packed extremely well. In fact, it took me longer to unpack and unwrap than it did to install.* * I did have an existing cabinet and made sure to measure that this one required the exact same cutout dimensions. My entire installation consisted of screwing in 4 screws because this fit perfectly into the 14″ x 24″ cutout that my old cabinet came out of.- classy 1/4” bevel and blemish free mirror- Full length piano hinge that operates smoothly (note: this is not a soft close door)- 2 magnets that catch and release the door with ease. No need to tug too hard on the door to open it, -and no need to push and hold the door shut in order for the magnets to catch.- 3 adjustable glass shelves that slide is smoothly and catch in place so they don’t slide out when taking things off a shelf.Cons: These aren’t really con’s as much as they are “if I could make this perfect” items:- There are 5 slots for various arrangements of the 3 glass shelves. Having a few more slots for more shelf position options would be great.- The inside of the door and the back wall of the cabinet are not mirrored. I didn’t expect it to be for this price, but it would have been a nice surprise if it was.- The bottom shelf of this (which is actually the bottom inside of the cabinet) curves up at each end because the cabinet’s inside corners are rounded and not squared off. All this means, is that if you store small bottles at either end of the bottom shelf, they won’t stand straight.I put my box of Kleenex and packet of band aids on this first shelf and moved my small bottles to one of the glass shelves where they can spread out from end to end and stand nice, straight and stable.More than happy with this cabinet.
