Replaced the stock radio and speakers in my 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan. After 18 years they finally gave out and stopped working. So I bought a new digital head unit and these speakers. They sound great. I bought adapter brackets for the speakers because the speakers have a 4 point bracket but my minivan only has a 3 point attachment on the frame. That problem was solved. And I also bought quick connectors for the speakers so it would be a simple click to attach the speakers to the stock speaker harness in the Honda. Metra came through for me. Now my music in the van sounds great again. Highs and mids are clear. The bass isn’t the deepest, but it’s a minivan. I’m not trying to play Kanye West to the heavens… I’m just trying to stay entertained on long trips with some clear sounds and these speakers so far are doing a great job. In my research, I learned it’s important to match the speaker output to the head unit or the amp you install. I did for this install and it’s made a world of difference to get the best sound. If your head unit or amp can drive more than the speakers can handle, the sound will be distorted and you’ll eventually ruin the speaker at high volumes. If the speakers can handle more than the head unit or amp can drive, then you won’t be able to push enough power to get the max efficiency from the speaker and the sound will be “small” considering what the speaker is capable of. So be sure to match the head unit or amp output to the speaker for the best combination and your sound will be loud with less distortion and max efficiency.
