1911 Government/Commander Full Size Grips Aluminum Cobra Skeleton Brushed Aluminum

I love these grips!I bought a GI version of a 1911 that came with nice, real wood grips. But I had plans to upgrade it with some Wilson Combat goodies. Since the pistol was black (blued finish) I wanted to accent it with some contrast, so I got aluminum/brushed parts. These grips fit perfectly! Visually they’re one of a kind, adding to the skeletonized parts from WC.I bought another 1911 that was basically the “polar opposite” in looks to the upgraded black one, so I went shopping again for Valkyrie Dynamics grips. This time I chose black grips. Same perfect fit.As for firing these pistols with the aluminum grips, it’s very comfortable to me. I don’t have tiny hands but not gorilla pass either, so the grips adding the slightest thickness to the pistol didn’t affect me. I’m sure having the Valkyrie compensators help? But I can shoot either of these with either hand, one handed. Even after a full 8 round mag dump, there’s no discomfort with the texture of these grips.Personally, I like using the black magazines behind the brushed grips and polished “chrome” mags behind the black grips. Since these two pistols are my show off pieces but they are BOTH fully capable and functional pistols as well!In short, if you’re looking for a stylish, functional, sturdy, well made set of 1911 grips, these are the ones.Oh! And don’t forget to buy some stylish grip screws to match!
